各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

上一個月的活動太豐富了， 在最後一天也舉行了活動，只好留現在再與大家分享。六月三十日是「數學科主題學習日」， 數學科科主任及老師費盡心思為同學安排不同的數學活動。同學們變身為數學家，努力解決所有的數學難題。 正所謂:「寓學習於遊戲」，看見他們的投入，令老師們感到十分安慰。

Last month, we had plenty of activities! We even had an event on the last day of the month, which we will share with you now. 30 June was Mathematics theme day, so our Mathematics panel heads and teachers racked their brains to arrange a variety of mathematics activities for our students. Our students transformed into mathematicians and did their best to solve all the mathematical questions. As the saying goes, “We learn as we play.” Our teachers were really pleased with how engaged our students were!

七月份，我們延遲了放暑假的日期， 安排學生補課，希望為他們在疫情停課期間之缺失的作補償。另一邊，我們為學生準備不同的活動， 希望透過不同形式的學習方式，發展學生的興趣。訓輔組為全校的同學安排了「法治話劇活動」， 好讓同學了解守法的重要性；在七月七日，是我們舉行了S.T.E.M. 科技日，同學在不同的科學活動中， 學習不同的原理，啟發學生在科學上的潛能。另外，本校的「智叻星計劃」， 利用了一些新穎的方式去獎勵得獎學生，你們喜歡嗎？

In July, we postponed summer holiday and arranged revision lessons for our students in the hope of making up for their loss during class suspension due to the epidemic. Furthermore, we have prepared numerous activities for our students. We hope to develop our students’ interests through different styles of learning. Our Discipline and Guidance Team arranged a “Rule of Law through Drama” activity for the whole school, allowing our students to understand the importance of being law-abiding citizens. On 7 July, we had S.T.E.M. Day. Our students learnt different theories through various science activities, which developed their scientific potential. Moreover, our school’s reward programme has been using innovative methods to reward our students. Do you like them?

在七月五日，今年終於可以重辦畢業禮， 以往會安排於大會堂進行聯校畢業禮，但因疫情關係，今年我們改校內形式，以簡單而隆重送別各畢業生， 家長、同學們及老師也十分感動。畢業禮後，同學及家長也在學校不同的地方拍照留念。

On 5 July, it was our Graduation Ceremony. This year we could finally have a ceremony again. In the past, we would arrange a joint-school graduation ceremony at the Town Hall, but due to the epidemic, this year our ceremony took place within our school. We used a simple yet grand way to say goodbye to our graduates. Parents, students and teachers were extremely touched. After the graduation ceremony, students and parents took memorable photos at different locations of our school.

七月六日為統一派位結果公佈， 今年我們的派位結果理想，很多同學獲派到心儀的中學，多謝老師們的努力、家長的支持、 學生的信任。取過派位結果，拍過照後，學生及家長懷着依依不捨的心情離去。 正所謂:「天下無不散的筵席！畢業生要多回校探望老師及支持母校！

We received the results of Central Allocation for P.6 students on 6 July. This year our allocation results were ideal. Many students were allocated to their preferred secondary schools. Thank you to teachers for their hard work, parents for their support and students for their trust. After they received their allocation results and took photos, students and parents were reluctant to say goodbye. As the saying goes, “All good things must come to an end.” Graduates need to come back to visit teachers often and support your alma mater!

七月十五日，我參加了一個令人感動的畢業禮。 世界龍岡學校朱瑞蘭中英文幼稚園在學校舉行了畢業禮。我有幸被邀請成為其中一位頒獎嘉賓。 每一個可愛的學生，由他們的小手接過獎項，一點頭一微笑，還加上感人的致謝詞，令嘉賓、家長、 校長、老師也動容了。希望這班可愛的小朋友，明年快快適應小學生活，健康成長。

On 15 July, I attended a touching graduation ceremony. Lung Kong World Federation School Limited Chu Sui Lan Anglo-Chinese Kindergarten had their graduation ceremony. I was fortunate enough to be invited to be one of the Awards Presenters. Each adorable student accepted their award with their small hands, nodded and smiled at me. Their heart-warming thank-you speech moved all the guests, parents, Principal and teachers. Hope these sweet children adapt well to primary school life next year and grow up healthily!

學校近年多了機會與不同的大專院校合作， 今年我們分別與中文大學、浸會大學及教育大學有不同的合作， 希望提升老師的教學質素及學生的學習能力。這些校外資源有效提升教學效能，從質到量優化校內的教學環境。

In recent years, our school collaborated with various tertiary institutions. This year, we collaborated with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University and the Education University of Hong Kong in order to improve our teachers’ quality of teaching and our students’ learning abilities. These resources effectively promoted teaching efficacy, optimising the school’s teaching environment both qualitatively and quantitatively.

暑假即將來臨，同學好好享受， 但同時間也要運用老師所教導的自學方法，去學習一些新知識，成為一個真正的「學習小主人」！

Summer holiday is coming! Students, I hope you will enjoy yourselves, and at the same time, remember to utilise the self-learning methods that your teachers taught you to learn some new knowledge and truly become a Self-learning Little Master!
